PlanWerk extends Series B with “B-Prime,” ahead of a Series C designed to fund a Series D
The company describes its funding stack as “a stack, in the sense that it is stacked.”
MELBOURNE, Australia, 18 September 2026 (PlanWerk Wire). PlanWerk today announced a $60 million extension to its Series B, to be known as Series B-Prime. The extension was raised nine days after the Series B closed, which the company describes as “momentum” and one investor describes as “a lot to take in on a Friday.”
The round was led by Sunk Cost Capital again, on the basis that it was already in. “We’re proud to double down,” said the firm, adding that it “couldn’t really stop now.” Total funding stands at $502.2 million, across four rounds and no product.
The roadmap
PlanWerk also shared its funding roadmap for the first time, which it describes as “clear” and “in order”:
- Series C, to fund Series D.
- Series D, to fund the launch party for Series E.
- Series E, planned for launch day, in whichever quarter that turns out to be.
“Our investors keep asking what’s next. We tell them Series C. They ask what’s after that. We tell them Series D. This has been described as a strategy.”

Use of proceeds
The extension will be used to build a fourth wall for The Framework, held in reserve pending a decision on the third; to convert a mailbox in Zug into an office; and to fund a study into why the second wall filled so quickly. Findings are expected to be shared at an offsite.
